Steadman finishes 2nd in GT Moore Medal

Uni Blacks co-captain Josh Steadman’s 2019 season has been recognised by the umpires, finishing second in the VAFA’s GT Moore Medal for the best and fairest player in Premier B.

The Blacks ruckman finished the home and away season with 23 votes in the count, placing second behind Old Scotch’s Tom Downie who polled 27 votes.

It continues a stellar year for Steadman, who was also selected as captain of the VAFA Premier B – Division 4 Big V side which travelled to WA earlier in the season.

The Blacks will be looking to go after team success starting this weekend, as the Seniors and Reserves commencing their respective finals campaigns. 

The Seniors will take on Beaumaris on Sunday at Box Hill City Oval starting at 2.30pm, while the Reserves face Old Scotch at 12pm, also at Box Hill City Oval on Sunday.
