The University Blacks are proud to announce that senior coach Cameron Roberts is one of four winners of Foxtel's #ThanksCoach Trip of a Lifetime in 2017. The award is designed to recognise and reward coaches based on their coaching achievements on and off the track.

The judging panel was made up of members from Foxtel and the AFL Coaches Association and after hours of deliberation this panel had decided on four coaches from across the country, with Cam one of the deserving four.

Winners of the award receive:

  • 2 tickets to the 2017 Toyota AFL Grand Final
  • 2 tickets to the CUB Carlton Draught Tent before the Grand Final
  • 2 tickets to the 2017 Toyota AFL Grand Final Eve Luncheon
  • 3 night’s accommodation in the Melbourne CBD

Cam was nominated by the self-proclaimed best magnets man in Blacks folklore, Darren (Daz) Collopy. In his submission Daz made mention of the well known fact that Cam is heavily focused on ensuring that every player he leads become not only better footballers, but also better men. This is something that everyone who knows Cam has had the pleasure of witnessing.

Everyone at the University Blacks would like to congratulate Cam and hope he has a wonderful time enjoying his reward!! We would also like to extend a thank you to Daz for his initiative in nominating Cam for this award. Great work Daz!!
