Ladies Lunch recap

Wednesday 17 May 2017

The University Blacks were delighted with the support which was provided to the Uni Blacks Ladies Lunch that was held on Saturday at the Uni Oval Pavilion.

With $5 from every ticket sold going to Ladder – an AFL affiliated charity which is helping to tackle youth homelessness – it was great to see so many women with an affiliation to the club getting involved.

We would also like to thank Elisabeth Tuckey (Ladder CEO) and Monette Russo (former Olympic and Commonwealth Games athlete and now Ladder mentor) for their attendance on the day.

“It was wonderful to see the Uni Blacks - Ladder Ladies Lunch well supported on the weekend,” Uni Blacks President Nick Carah said.

“With a playing group of predominately country boys, it was great to see a number of mothers, grandmothers, partners and friends of the playing group enjoy a pleasant day at the football and supporting the boys.”

“Your presence meant so much to the players and no doubt helped us get a vital win. We are so grateful for your support and we look forward to seeing you at a game again soon.”

The club would also like to take this opportunity to thank The Clyde Hotel for hosting our post-game function on Saturday evening, which has set the tone for a very positive relationship in 2017.

We encourage our supporters to pay a visit to The Clyde throughout the season and enjoy their fantastic hospitality.
