1997 Senior and Reserves Premiership Reunion

The University Blacks would like to welcome back all players, supporters, family and friends with a connection to the 1997 Senior and Reserves sides for the 20 year reunion to commemorate these premierships.

These premierships are an integral part in the fabric of the club as we know it today and this is a fantastic opportunity for players and others involved in these successes to come and reminisce on their victories.

The Senior side fought out a thrilling clash against North Brunswick that year, claiming the flag by just a solitary point - 9.14 (68) to 9.13 (67).

The Reserves had a much easier time of things in their grand final despite not making the most of their opportunities in front of goal, overcoming the University Reds by 77 points - 12.23 (95) to 2.6 (18).

The official function will commence at 12pm in the University Oval Pavilion, with a buffet lunch to be provided by our catering sponsor Dineamic at the cost of $50 per head. Drinks will be available at bar prices from 12pm till 2pm.
