Speakers locked in for Blacks Breakfast

Sunday 26 February 2017

The Melbourne University Blacks are pleased to announce that Melbourne Football Club's Player/Coach Performance Manager Brendan McCartney will headline the speakers at the 2017 University Blacks Season Launch Breakfast on March 22.

McCartney joined the Demons at the end of 2014 after playing a key role in developing a talented playing group at the Western Bulldogs, may of which were part of the club's amazing 2016 premiership triumph.

The second speakers spot will be a panel discussion, looking back over the inaugural AFLW season and also previewing the AFLW grand final.

Paul Groves, senior coach of the Western Bulldogs AFLW side will be joining us, along with marquee signing for the Dogs Ellie Blackburn and Category B rookie (as well as Australian Ultimate Frisbee representative) Cat Phillips, who both also play with the Melbourne University Women's Football Club currently.

Tony Wilson will continue his superior reign as host of the Blacks Breakfast and we look forward to him asking some hard-hitting questions of our valued guests.
