Time to tee off for the Uni Blacks Golf Day
14 January 2011
It's on again, the annual Blacks golf day and dinner at the magnificent Kingston Heath. The Heath has been named the No 1 course in Australia. Only the best for the Blacks.
The format is as before. Hit off between 2.00 - 2.30pm, allowing a morning in the office, then a casual lunch and the practice hit provided at the course. After a great round on a world famous course, a quick drink and a pacy dinner, allowing a departure nearer to 9.00pm than 10.00. This year our speakers are the officially recognized legends of the AFL medical fraternity, Essendon club doctors Bruce Reid and Ian Reynolds. Bruce played a handful of games for Hawthorn before a stint with Ian as doctors at Richmond, with both moving with Kevin Sheedy to Essendon 30 years ago. Ian Reynolds is a dual premiership player with the Blacks, playing in the centre in 1964-1965 team often judged the best in Amateur history. Both will have a lifetime of stories to select from, with Essendon life member and Blacks captain Mark Bolton at the mike to jog their memories.
Last year we grew our numbers by an extra 20 players, as the message sunk in that the best value corporate entertainment package on the planet is locking a client into your group at Kingston Heath for 8-10 hours at the bargain price of $195. This year the numbers look like increasing again and a great day awaits.
