Pre-Season coming to a close

The Uni Blacks will this weekend try their luck with Tiger, Jetstar or Virgin and head west to the sunny Adelaide Hills to take on the Adelaide Uni Blacks in what has become one of the most anticipated practice matches of the pre-season. Adelaide Uni Blacks boast a strong playing list and wonderful club atmosphere, so the boys are looking forward to testing out all the training that has been done, get to know each other a bit better and meet some good blokes from the other Uni Blacks.

With almost two full teams of players heading over, there's no excuse to not have a crack, as plenty of time on the pine is assured. Given the reputation of the Adelaide boys, there is unlikely to be any chance for a breather once we are out on the town.

Those players that are not heading over to Adelaide will be meeting at PP1 for a quick session at 9am Saturday, consisting of 900 clap push-ups, 35 mins of the plank, 800 sit-ups, and possibly some core-work to finish. Seriously, though, balls will be there and will be used extensively, so get along to start your weekend off well.

With the pre-season almost coming to a close, it's time to get onto any of your mates who have not yet shown their face at training, and to make sure we forget any excuses and get to every session. 

Prepare yourself well, it's going to be a hell of a season.
