Luke O'Connell to coach the Under 19's in 2009

We are thrilled that Luke O'Connell is back on board at the Blacks to coach the Unders next season. We gave big Luke a year off after he, almost literally, carried the club into A Grade on his own shoulders as our only ruckman during 2007. After his two seasons with us we were well aware of Luke's leadership qualities, and he is the perfect man to follow the good work of Paul Kempton, who is focussed on playing again now his long term injury has repaired. With Adrian Goonan, Ed Ryan and their team of thousands all back running the Unders next year, the club looks forward to an improvement on their impressive fifth in Premier Division this year.
